Hey happy 2020 the decade of the new 20s begins! I have a feeling it will have the glamour of the 1920s it would be great if the fashion and makeup from that decade makes a huge comeback, for this reason I have been reading The Great Gatsby by Scott Fitzgerald which portrates that decade delightfully it shines just like the many lights at a Jay Gatsby's party! It has been wonderful to read it I still have to finish it just a few chapters more to read, so far I love the enchanting descriptions the main character Nick Carraway makes: the beauty in small details like the sun light at sunset, being and outsider watching the lights coming from the many windows of an aprtment, the rain in the afternoon, the moment you see a big city like is the first time! Is hard to write down my feeling to this descripctions so I invite you to read the book!
Reading is beautiful it calms my souls and is a great escape! here is my goodreads profile (does anyone use that site?) I havent updated in a while, but there is a list of some of the books I have read, I'm planning to read a lot more I'm looking forward to be accompanied by books. I think with every book there is a lesson to learn, a chance to see things in different perspectives, to imagine characters and scenarios, to long for never seen places.
So I wanted to share this feelings and also write down some of my goals for this year, just like I did last year. I didn't accomplish most of those things, but I'm always optimistic and looking forward because let's be real the only way to go is forward!
I'm very happy for exciting things I'm planning for this year, some of those are already happening I'm finishing my studies of 4 years of japanese, this doesn't mean I will not continue studying japanese I will do it, but this is a great accomplish already, 4 years and so many nice memories!
Also I really want to travel to Japan and I'm planning to do it hopefully on spring!
One of the purposes I have for this year is to be less consumer. I'm crazy for makeup, accesories and clothes, those things make me so happy but I also have to be responsable with money and the enviroment. I also feel disgusting when I have too many things, sometimes I buy cool things but I really dont need them and I end up not appreciating material things in live. I just want to be happy with a few, appreciate what I have and make good use of cosmetics, accesories, clothes and material things in general.
